Rolls-Royce PCO Factory and Office Expansion, Derby

About This Project

Frank Shaw Associates has been appointed to develop a design solution to extend the existing PCO production facility in Derby.

A feasibility review resulted in a linear extension to the existing factory, enabling maximum connectivity with the existing overhead crane network to ensure a lean production process was maintained between the new and existing factory. The scheme includes 37,900 sq ft of conditioned production space, 1,925 sq ft metallurgy laboratories and associated plant, welfare, support and storage spaces.

In addition, a 400 work station 47,660 sq ft flexible office was to be provided with ‘grab and go’ cafe facility at ground floor. The design solution resulted in the diversion of the main site entrance road and service network to support the extension and wider site masterplan.
