About This Project

Borough Care Ltd provide Stockport Borough Councils’ residential care services for elderly people.

Frank Shaw Associates carried out a review of the twelve Borough care residential home. Our role has been to assess the state of repair for each home. In addition we have produced feasibility schemes for refurbish/extend or demolish/re-build each of the homes.

The refurbish aspirations are to bring each home up current standards, particularly in respect of provision of en-suite facilities.

The extend or rebuild suggestions, recognise that some homes are currently too small to be economically viable and then bed numbers need to be increased.

This has all been captured in a single report which will allow Borough Care to develop a financial model to implement these proposals.
